I am sorry it has been so long since the last time I wrote to you. I wanted to write every minute but instead I just think of all the things I want to tell you… it’s like writing a letter in my head all day long. I will see Bart in two days when I arrive in New York. He says he can get me work at the docks with him. I hope he can! I got sick on the boat last night. It rocks to and fro like a cattle cart down the rutted lane. I just want this voyage to end so I can start up our new life. I will send for you as soon as I can afford your passage. In the mean time, take care of yourself and look after Eileen and Marie.
